canceling lenghty calculations?

Hello,

Is there a way to tell ZBrush to stop calculating something like decimation pre-processing or ambient occlusion mask? These are just 2 examples of things that I sometimes accidentally initiate, only to realize that I should not have done it yet and then I sit and stare at the screen for 15 minutes :o

Any way around that, other than killing Zbrush process?

Most operations can be cancelled by pressing the Esc key.

Thanks for the tip!

Too bad it doesn’t seem to work with ao masking… better be careful with that one.

Do AO masking at a lower subdivision level. There’s not a lot to be gained by having the subdiv level at over 1 million polys.

thanks for the tip!

Sometimes, you need to do a long ESC key press. Some operations are in loops and the loop by itself can take some time, then, if you do a quick key press, it may not be taken in consideration.

Thanks, will try that next time!
