Can Zbrush work of Fedora 9.0 or 10?

Hello, I have a MacPro '08 and would like to dual boot with OSX and Fedora 10. I am getting into the computer graphics scene and currantly use Maya 8.5 U and a copy of ZB 3.1. I would like to stop using Windows and replace Maya with XSI and maybe!? get a copy of Zbrush for Win or Mac to work on Fedora. I heard that in Umbuntu, you can install made for windows programs and run them in Linux? Since both Autodesk Maya and (Autodesk now) Softimage XSI both suggest using Linux Fedora as a secondary OS, it would be just great if I can get Zbrush on that OS too.

Thanks!

Zbrush is currently only for Windows and OSX. The Mac version is still very new. Kinks in it are still being worked out, judging by the heated threads on the subject.

Thanks, but i think I’ll go with the Windows version and XSI in the future.

ZBrush works brilliantly under Wine on Ubuntu Linux. In fact better than it does on Windows. However, there appears to be major problems licensing it. I have only run the demo. Due to this problem I never bought ZBrush. I ran a Mac for years then ditched that as well as Windows. I run Linux all the time now. Would never consider ever moving back to Windows or Mac so I have not bought ZBrush. If the licensing worked on Linux I would buy and run it on Wine. However, in the mean time there are other sculpting apps which work perfect even in Wine and are rapidly catching up with ZBrush. In fact in some ways they have already surpassed.
