Can ZBrush read the PNG format? I have never had any luck doing this. [Answered]

Hi,

So I need to import an image into ZBrush and convert it to poly paint but the image is a PNG and since ZBrush 3, I’ve had no luck importing PNG’s despite them showing up as supported files in the dialog menu. So, does ZBrush support the import of the PNG format and if so, is there a particular trick to this as a straight import does not seem to work? I mean, I can convert them into a PSD or a JPG but I’m really just curious as to what’s up with ZBrush and the PNG format.

I don’t think so. I’ve no idea why the format is in there - I guess an oversight.
