Sorry if this is a basic question.
I have a model that has multiple UV tiles, and after coloring the mesh in Zbrush
I hit color> texture button
But it created the texture for only ONE tile (0-1) region
What did I miss?
thanks

Did you offested your UV cords in external 3d app ? If yes , then just select your tool which has multiple UVs and go to polygroups , hit on UV groups and hit also grid . After this operation you should see all your Uv groups in different colours . Ctrl+shift and mouse click on part which you would like to hide . Then bake texture for visible part . Do this operation for each part . That is all . The thing is when you hide one UV group you have UVs only for visible part . You can hit check texture to see what happens .
I hope this helps coz I have multiple UVs too . By the way if you will have any problems with normal maps ask me I ahd great war with these normal gangsters
that is exactly what I was looking for
Thanks
as for the normal, I don’t think this question should be here
but Maya dosnt respect multi tiles with normal maps
Hm strange , because I have no problems with them in max .
Thanks ahtiandr, it works fine with Lightwave.
ya I foudn the workaround for normal and Maya > its in my blog

Can you please tell us. Thanxs
