Hello.
Iv spent a evening building a head texture up in Photoshop. This means raw photo textures, patched together, zero loss in quality.
Now when iv done Zproject from hi-res photo refferences, I get a real loss in detail, even athough My mesh is very high res.
After finnishing this texture in Photoshop, I thought id bring it into ZB and clean it up some more. So I devide my mesh in 4m polys, coverted tx to colour, then cleaned it up here and there. After putting this into a texture of equal size I saw that all my fine detail is lost.
So question is, is Zbrush able to produce high res, as good as Photoshop textures from photo refference.
Second question is, how do I know how many polys are required for a certain size texture detail, whats the formula to work this out?
The exsample below does not show a ZB Zproject, just converted from texture to colour and back again.
