Can you save a masked selection?

Hey All,
is it possible to “save a masked selection”
like we do in say photoshop or 3dsMax.
I have the lower jaw and lips masked and it takes a bit to do it
(i have the area saved out as a poly group - and I hide all other polygroups,
mask the jaw, then unhide other poly groups - etc.)
but it would be nice to be able to save maskings that we create.

Please let me know if this is possible

In the Tool / Masking pallete you can use the ‘Create Alpha’ button to create an alpha which you can then save. You can then apply it again using the ‘Mask by Alpha’ button.
