Like the title says, I ask this as I like to use B as the hotkey for draw size. I know I can use F2 but I would ideally like to assign my own choice of key.
Yes you should be able to “ctrl+alt+left click” on the main brush palate icon in the default UI (to the left of the document) and assign it to any hotkey you want.
