can,t open ZB 3.1

sry for my banglish before… so here,s the case… :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. when i open my ZB. these error report pop out

    and i got kicked out afterwards.

  2. i reinstall my zb 3, and re-patch zb3.1. and it worked… but just for 1 session.

  3. by one session i mean after i restart my windows/PC ,me cannot enter ZB again.

  4. back to step 1… ( duh )

so… anybody have solution for my prob here… keep repeating installing procedures start to driving me… uhhh…

I’m not sure but maybe you need Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package

Not sure if ZBrush needs that.

tried that… it,s still won,t work :frowning:
btw… same case happens w my painter X… same error report etc
while my other programs still run normally ( max,PS etc )

In the ZBrush 3 folder there’s a folder called TroubleshootingHelp. In that is an executable. Try running that.

i,ve tried both method ( vcredist_x86.exe and Data Execution Prevention ) but nothing seems happened. :frowning:
fyi i,m using win XP prof edition sp3. probably reinstall my win is my only option

I don’t know what to tell you. Since this is happening with multiple apps, there’s obviously something wrong with the system itself. It’s not a ZBrush issue.

yup2 no worries… stuff like this happens everyday. maybe it,s viruses attack of sumthin :lol: i,ll try to figure out myself. yhx aurick.

I’ve seen this error after a virus attack/clean (but also other causes). I’d certainly do a virus scan to check that you don’t have a virus. You may need to reinstall ZBrush afterwards.
