Can someone PLEASE answer this topology Q?

the long and short-

am i correct in assuming that there is NO way to just edit existing topology without then having to generate a skin and then project the details?

occasionally, at the end of a sculpt, i may just need to move some vertices around or add an edge loop in… not needing to redo the whole mesh.
you get 6 or 7 subdivision levels in with all kinds of details and every time i retopo and then make the skin and project the details, the resulting mesh is ALWAYS rife with errors that need fixing, due to the nature of using project all.

so am i missing something, or do you always have to skin and deal with reworking some areas that didn’t project properly?

a million thanks to any who answer.

i cant help you, but i´m interested. Can you upload a capture?

Retopology always involves generating a skin and projecting. However, you can make small changes to the existing topology very quickly and easily. See http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Topology:_Mesh_Editing

thanks, Aurick.

yeah, that’s what i figured…
ah well- one can dream of a simpler workflow though!
