Can somebody test & confirm this bug? (Mac)

• Import an image as a texture, to use as background reference
• Fill the layer with it
• Import a low resolution, symmetrical OBJ
• Move it forward so it doesn’t intersect the reference
• Enter Edit mode
• Turn X Symmetry on
• Turn on perspective
• Select the move brush and try to move some vertices

The symmetry is all out of whack.

In this state, if you turn perspective off the symmetry works, but with perspective on it doesn’t.

This bug seems to be new to ZB4 (I’m on a Mac, if that helps).

I’m on PC and I just tried it and didn’t have any problems.

Try using the Image Plane plugin to see if that solves the issue.

I’ve found this happens without backdrop images.

Just load up a basic low-rez model, move it forward away from the canvas, click edit mode, turn perspective on, then notice the symmetry is all out of whack.

Probably just a bug in the Mac version then.

Image Plane works great Marcus (presumably because I don’t have to move the model forward when using Image Plane).

Thanks. That’s an ideal workaround

Hi MotleyPete That has happen to me before to. You may need to Go to “Draw” and then turn on “Align to Object” This is next to the Focal Angle & Persp button.
Now load your tool and pull it forward. That fixes it of me.
hope that helps ya.
