can new zbrush match maya or 3dsmax renders?

i was wondering guyz… i cant use any other software other than zbrush, and photoshop.
will zbrush ever be able to match the rendering power of maya, 3ds max etc???
it may sound naive, but when i look at the beautiful renders in maya etc, i wish i could do the same with just zbrush alone!!!
will it ever happen???

will zbrush ever match maya and 3dsmax??? for rendering?? e.g mental ray is WICKED!!! cant they shove that in zbrush for instance or any other plugin that assists renders?

i believe this is a very strong subject for pixologic to take a look at…

Zbrush can do amazing renders actually. You just need to give it a little push…i.e. render passes.

And I hope they don’t put Mental ray in Zbrush…unless they get it really really cheap. MR isn’t free, just like Vray. And when Zbrush can stop Mudbox and not eat your machine, and it costs less…that just seems to make sense to me.

In regards to the renders…i would like to see more realtime DX10 support. Even if you can’t edit all your maps in realtime. It would be great to be able to apply all of your maps, maybe mess with some settings. But eh, we’ll all have to wait and see what their answer to mudbox is…I hope they stomp them, I can’t stand autodesk…they already own damn near every other 3d package.

thanks for the feedback. im still learning zbrush, ive been using it for 6 months now. guess i’ll get back to the dvd’s on to polish up my render passes.

cant wait for 3.5 hurry up pleaaasse!
