Can I make a subtool permanently part of the model?

If I wanted to append the 3D cube and add it to my model at first as a subtool. Then resize it accordingly. Is there anyway I can make it actually part of the model and not a subtool? So that way when I sculpt that section of the model it would be fused and sculpted as one w/o having to select between the subtools?

check out plugins menu , subtool master.

Merge -> keep polygroups , delete after merge.

Hey there,

I think what you meant was having one sculptable piece of Geometry and not just two merged pieces that still are seperated, especially when it comes to sculpting … right?

You’ve got 2 … well 3 options depending on the model. First option would be doing a retopo. Second option would be using the new boolean feature of R3 and the last option would be using the projection master.

As i’ve said earlier, it really depends on your model.

Hope that helps.

I’m not really sure what the problem is but if i understand right ths nice little trick posted by gabo1991 might help. Here is the thread.

Thank you for all the help guys! This is the info I was looking for  .

I’m trying to mirror the object before doing this but it keeps giving me this message " this function cannot be applied to a mesh with multiple subdivison levels? ".

NM, figured it out  .
