Can I make a low rez mesh from a high-rez without a 'history?"

Hello evreryone. I have a finished high-rez model but would like to have a low-rez version to ease posing. I’m new to this and deleted my low-poly versions as I went along in the sculpting. ? Can I maybe generate a low-poly Unified mesh and use that for posing? I’m stumped; as I would like to do as little resculpting on the finished mesh as possible after posing. Can I maybe use a simple “armature” for the posing phase? Thanks for any help in advance.

In the future, don’t delete lower resolution levels. There’s no need for it, and many features (such as being able to create displacement or normal maps) require them.

You may be able to get at least some of your levels back by using Tool>Geometry>Reconstruct Subdiv.

If that doesn’t work you’ll need to use retopology to create a new mesh. You can project the details from your original model to the new one.

Thanks much for the advice, it’s just what I needed to know. I’ve learned my lesson about deleting sub-levels! Thanks again! I’ll post an image of the model when I get it posed.
