Can I lock my light position in relation to a scene i create in ZBrush?

Hello,
So i created a scene and i wanted to do a little fly through but as i move my scene the orientation of the shadows seem to move. So i was wondering if i can keep the relationship between the scene and the light locked. Please tell me this is possible some how.
Thank you so much in advanced!!!

Dennis

Did you ever find an answer to this question?

I’d also like to lock the position of the light to the world, rather than the perspective of the viewport. Any ideas?

Thanks for the link Doug. I looked through the documentation but didn’t see anything that addresses locking the lights location. At least, I nothing jumped out at me. I tried the light placement palette, using local placement, but still when rotating the model (or the viewport camera), shadows are relative to my view, rather than an absolute placement of the light.

Am I missing something? Does Zbrush not have this feature?

ZBrush isn’t a 3D program as you may understand them to be. It doesn’t work like the others. http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/
Old link, helpful, with sense of humor, broken links, some stuff is out of date.

I think you might be underestimating my understanding of Zbrush, I know how it works- simple question, can you lock lights?

It sounds like the answer is no. Thanks for sending me into the docs that answer this question in a roundabout sort of way, education is always good.

It would be helpful if, you know the answer, to tell me. I know how to research technical documentation, it’s just a simple question which doesn’t seem to be addressed anywhere.

You’re welcome. If I know for sure something can be done, I’ll say so. I don’t know in this case
