can i create a bump map in zbrush?

Hey, i am struggeling, can i make a bumpmap in zbrush and then export it to keyshot? what is the best way to do that? or do you guys use another program for that.

Bump map or normal map?

You can do either. A bump map where fine surface detail is given the appearance of slight depth based on color intensity just requires you to export a simple texture map with color information for a mesh with UVs. The “Bump Viewer” material will be useful in letting you preview the bump effect. A normal map involves exporting the actual geometric detail from high levels of subdivision as a normal map.

Either requires knowledge of several areas of Zbrush:

Study Texture maps, the Texture Palette, Polypainting, Subdivision Level , Normal Map export, the Subtool palette, UVs, the UV palette, and UV Master. Afterwards, you’ll want to look for resources for the specific needs of your external program. It may be necessary to rotate the exported image from Zbrush, or export it in a specific way, and it may work best with a certain type of UV layout.
