Can I assign a hotkey to Subtools/Geometry/Masking etc?

Hi, I don’t think my workflow is the quickest at the moment as I’m constantly clicking and dragging the side bar to get to items in the Tools menu. I’d like to have a quick shortcut to get to each item (Subtools, Geometry, Masking etc.) but Hotkeys customization doesn’t seem to work - is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Adam

this is an interesting question! I also wonder if there´s a way to access menues/palettes/sub palettes via hotkeys - would be very efficient

somebody knows a way?

You can’t assign hotkeys to sub-palettes. There are different ways of operating sub-palettes which you can read about here:
http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/customizing-zbrush/interface-operation/

Alternatively you could create custom menus with those interface items that you use most (though note that there are some things, such as the subtool list, that can’t be moved to a custom menu). You can assign a hotkey to the custom menu title so that the menu will appear at the cursor when the hotkey is pressed.

thanks for your help!
