Can I add more Geometry to the Ear?

Is there a way I can add more geometry to only the ear? I don’t want to subdivide the whole head again as I’m at level 6 but I need more polys around the ear.

You could go to level 1, mask everything else, and divide. This will add extra polys to the unmasked area. The down side is that it will also create triangles where the two poly densities come together. Triangles don’t smooth the same as quads, and you’ll almost definitely see the results.

A better way is to go to level 1 and use retopology to add extra edge loops to those areas. There’s even a tutorial about how to edit topology and still keep existing sculpting/detals. See here: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Topology:_Mesh_Editing
