Can brush paths be created like vector curves?

I’m about to put the stitching on the clothing for two characters. I have some great stitch alphas, and I’ve figured out three ways to get the stitching looking as good as possible: 1. lazy mouse, 2. stroke > backtrack > snap to track > line 3. stroke > backtrack > snap to track > path. Plus, of course, turning off pen sensitivity, using hd geometry, and rotating the model without zooming.

However, it would be fantastic if there was a way to create a vector-type path. It’s too easy for the “3. stroke > backtrack > snap to track > path” to become shaky. Though lazy mouse is great, it can get shaky, too.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? I’d love to be able to set a few curve points down, see and tweak the resulting curve, then draw right along that.

Pixologic: If there isn’t a way to do this now, perhaps for the next version?

There’s no other way than using the snap to track and path options. Setting the Track Curvature slider to 0 will give you a smoother curve.

Okay, thanks.

This would be a nice feature though!
