Hello everyone, Ive been away from ZBrush Central for some time now, but with Good Reason…Ive been working away on an exhibit of alien sculpture. I’ve been taking my ZBrush designs and creating large scale physical sculpture to show in gallery as an exhibit of alien life-forms including anatomy, design illustration and paintings. A lot of time has been spent just sourcing a mainstream gallery to take a chance and show the work… and I’m happy to say The Endeavor Arts Gallery and Event Space here in Calgary has agreed to host the first long term show!
I’m excited to say that without ZBrush Central and its members who encouraged and supported my artwork as it developed here I would not have had the opportunity to take my work as far as I have. Like many here at ZBrush Central its been a passion of mine to see my designs in large scale, to have them accepted, shown and shared in all their alien glory for exactly what they are… explorations into speculative biology, anatomy and design based in a foundation of traditional and digital skills which are presented purely as art, and and now its actually happening. I’ve had my project on a local crowd funding site called InvestYYC for several weeks now and I’m nearing my goal. All of the funds go to securing space, travel of the beasts and the creation and presentation of workshops on their creation. when I surpass my funding goal I can begin to expand the world, add additional artifacts and grow the number of its inhabitants. Its been an exciting time and I would love to share it with all of you.
