Camera views .vws upside down

I saved a couple of camera views as VWS files only to load then at a later date in to find the model is upside down ( actually it’s the camera - but you get the idea). Is this a freak occurrence? Is there anything that can be done about it apart from re-record the camera positions (which is a pain) :frowning:
Cheers

hmm I have not heard of .vws files before. How are you saving these out of zbrush?

Are you 100% sure it’s not your model that is upside down? Under “Tool > Preview” is your model oriented correctly in that small window? If not, then it’s your model that is wrong.

Yup, definitely upside-down. I’ve just put an new cylinder in the scene, switched the floor on and loaded the .VWS file in. - image shows the green line of the “floor” at the top after loading in the camera view & the second is a perspective view of the first - just in case that pixel line doesn’t show up too good.

Save/load .VWS from >Document >Zapplink Properties save/load cust1/cust2

hmm saving and loading views via zapplink works for me. No odd flipping.

Can you turn on the axis for the floor grid to make sure that it’s the camera and not the tool that is upside down?

Draw > Modifiers > Axis = 9
Draw > Modifiers > Frame Opacity = 1

Sadly that’s not fixed it. I’ve included the camera view file if you want to have a look at it. There are two, the former is upside-down, the second (side) view is fine. Remove.zip extenstion to turn back to a .vws

I get an error trying to open the zip file. Maybe dropbox it?

I got your file via dropbox and cust1 is upside down, but cust2 is right side up.

Is that the same thing you are seeing?

If .vws files are not working out for you to store camera positions. You could use the timeline to do it.

Done.
