Great tutorial…though I don’t seem to have a chisel brush I think I can still follow along.

Awesome tutorial! Thanks for taking the time :sunglasses: :+1: !

I really enjoyed reading your tutorial, thanks!

Cool stuff Greg! Thanks for sharing.

I was just about to make some shoes for my character when I remembered your shoe tutorial. It’s great, and I gotta say mask and inflate made my day.

Your shoe looks real compared to mine tho

nice tutorial! thanks for that.

Are the “Chisel Brush” and the “Seam_StitchSimple” your own custom brushes’s or are they lurking on ZBC somewhere?

Wooooot! Hummm, don’t you ever been bored of being that good? Take a break, dude.
Anyway, your works are fu***** amazing! Thanks for sharing them and making us feel like newbies, loooool. ^o^

No really I see all of his stuff, and its all this good! He’s an amazing artist…

ahahha!! you really ammazing!!

thanks for sharing the creation of shoes!!
Congrats

Wow. You do such an amazing job. I just read through this entire thread… though most were about how superb your sculpts are

I just purchased ZBrush day before yesterday as well as the Gnomon “Introduction to ZBrush” DVD. I saw that you recommend or at least refer to Scott Spencer’s “ZBrush Character Creation: Advanced Digital Sculpting”. Are there any other resources you’d recommend for a fledgling ZBrush sculptor.

Take a look at Eat 3D’s Zbrush series. Its one of the best out there for getting started (IMHO). Gets right to the point and gets you sculpting fast. I believe they have a 10 min sample video on their site, so you can try before you buy.

My first Sideshow sculpt was shown at Comic-Con this year. It’s a 12″ H x 10″ W diorama of Flint vs. Zartan. Anyone who knows me knows I am a big GI Joe fan, so getting the opportunity to work on two of my favorite childhood toys was unreal not to mention getting to work with some the best artists and designers in the industry! I’d like to thank Adam Ross at Idol Workshop for all his help, the Sideshow Design and Development Team as well as all the other amazing craftsmen that helped produce the final product. Check out Sideshow Collectibles site for more info.

incredible details!!!

Zartan was always my favorite! I remember you could put him out in the sunlight and his face turned blue. Awesome. Really love the sculpt! The final came out great! Do you get a cut of all of the sales of the piece or do they pay you right off the bat? I’d love to do something like this.

I really enjoy the GI Joe ZB shots. Fine detail work there! Nice and clean sculpting as well.

Also took a look at your shoe tut - really great breakdown and comforting to see that I’ve been using the hPolish and TrimDynamic brushes in the same way. They are just the best for hard surface and controlled smoothing. Just need to find that chisel brush! Keep up the inspiration man!

great work Greg

very nice sculpts! I like the whole setup too.

Incredible work! Big congrats to you  your sculpting skills are superb.

What can I say? The shape of body, exoression on face, wrinkle of cloth, detail of environment-----They are perfect!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
