Pretty stoked about the way this project turned out. Was a ton of work and a lot of late nights evolved. I’ve been wanting to do a gladiator fantasy type project for some time now since its not a style I would normally do. Got a say I could totally get into doing more stuff like this.

A few work in progress screen grabs from my latest project “Backstabber”.

This first image shows the progression of the gladiators head sculpt. Starting from my generic guy geometry.

Workflow for my female character. Starting with Zspheres then using reTopo (on the Zspheres) to generate new geometry. Normally I start with a female character that I made from Zspheres the transpose her into the pose I want, but in this case I had no idea what pose I wanted. Sketching out poses using a limited number of Zspheres is a great way to test out different poses quickly.
