Hi.
Im working on a character with a pipeline between Zbrush, and MODO. I wish to take the character to rig in MODO, but dont intend to reply on Displacement maps so need to hold as much surface form into the base mesh.
The problem is that as you know sub dividing the mesh does not give the same results as applying Dynamic Sub D, to smooth the base level, so in order to get the best results I have to use Cage mesh.
My question is, how far do I push that cage, what is exceptable should this character be used in production, or sold as a asset? I know there should be no overlapping edges, but is there anything I should be doing to aid getting the best results?
At this current time Im storing the cage from high to low base mesh in a layer so I can control its effect, its just the case of how far do I push it?
