But I am an Admin user?

I’ve recently upgraded to Windows 7. Once Zbrush was installed I got an error saying I need to have admin privileges to run zbrush… It then closes? Anyone seen this one before?

It says “Sorry, incorrect file permissions detected. Please re-launch ZBrush ‘As Administrator’”. As far as I can tell the user accout I’m using IS an administrator account. Do I need to create a user called “Administrator” for this to work?

Even though you are an administrator, individual programs do not have administrator-level permission. There is a difference between the user account and the application.

What you need to do is right-click on the ZBrush application and choose “Properties”. Go to the Compatibility tab, at the bottom of which is a check box to run this application as an administrator. Check that (and only that – nothing else on that tab should be active), click Apply, then close the window. ZBrush will run fine. You may get a pop-up asking for permission each time you launch it, though. That’s Windows for you. :)

Thanks for the tips. I also noticed that I can just right click on the icon and “run as Administrator”
Maybe if i knew a bit more about my OS I wouldnt have started complaining right away  .
Works fine now. Thanks.
