What you need to do is apply the bump map as a displacement map. The displacement mapping ZScript included with ZBrush explains how. Use a high resolution mesh so that you can get good quality displacements. Once the map has been applied to your high res mesh and looks the way you want, click the Apply DispMap button. This will convert cause the displacements to be applied to the geometry itself instead of being a render effect.
Now you’ll be able to go to the lowest level, import the model back into itself, and create your normal map.
Hey aurick.

Paradise,
It is easiest to load it from the Zbrush Help system. You can find the script in Modeling 3D Objects : Displacement Maps.

I’m sure you are going to love the Zbrush experience!
Here is a trick that can be done with Z2 as well. Of course Zbrush allows you to model insanely high-polygon models.
But what if you want more details? Insane, you might ask? Not all the time, which I would reply if you asked… hehe… anyway, back to the topic.
You can use the bump viewer material, in real-time, and start to paint your bump maps, using projection master. This will provide you with a pretty
good representation of what your bumps will look like on your model. After you get your bump map painted, you can
export the map out, and import it into Photoshop. Then, if you have the Normal Map plugin by Nvidia, you can convert the bump map to a normal map.
Then it would be just a matter of adding the bump map to the normal map from the high res model. If done right, you can produce some pretty good
results with this technique.
