BullWhale

Hey Everybody. This is My first post at ZBC. It is kind of a mixture between a whale, a bull and something else i guess. Comments and feedback are welcome. Hope you enjoy.

Nice)))

This is really exciting! Great combo of animal groups, very interesting creature creation with excellent texture and render!

Great, great work Ilnaes. Awesome concept of animal mixture and done superb technicaly.

Would You mind showing some breakdown? Zbrush sculpt, rendersetup. Did you render in ZB or outside?

Thanks in advance and looking forward too see more stunning work from Yours.

Thanks for the comments. I rendered the whale in zbrush using just the basic material, and tweaking the lights. Here is the different render layers I used.

The whale was modelled using z-spheres and later in the proces I went into High Definition Modelling (HD subdivisions) to get all the details on the body of the whale.

Det ser sku godt ud Mikael :stuck_out_tongue: :+1:

he he… Tak for det louie

I am not 100% certain of what is going on in the head area, but as far as sculpt, light, rendering and composition go, I like it a lot.

I think the composition isn’t that good, another thing is that your DOF is too strong imo, which causes this whale to look smaller than it is obviously intented, apart from that i really like it, especially the texturing and lighting :+1:

Slice: Do you have any suggestions how to improve the composition? I will try to change the DOF.

thanks again for the feedback guys.

I think it’s amazing, and I love the background but for some reason my eyes can’t really make out what’s going on with the creature, especially the head? Too dark maybe or too much going on?

One thing I definitly would do is give the whale a little more room ( upper and bottom part of the illustration gives him too little space) also another thing you could do is add bubbles or other fish or whatever, try to use invisible lines for this so that they accentuate your whale ( know what I mean? )

the comp need a littel work specially around the edges
Can you share the comp layer in Phtoshop ?
