Some images of nasty insects and parasites linked to spreading disease:
Oriental rat fleas - responsible for the spread of bubonic plague. Modelling, texturing and hair were done in Zbrush. Lighting, rendering and depth compositing were done in Houdini Indie.
Hookworm - modelled and textured in Zbrush. Lit and rendered in Houdin Indie.
Ticks - responsible for the spread of Lyme Disease. Fairly horrible beasts that burrow into the skin! Modelled and textured in Zbrush. The hairs on the model were done with Fibremesh. Lighting, rendering and depth compositing was done in Houdini Indie.
