Love it!! The lighting is really well done too. :+1: :+1:

Awesome piece Chris! Love the girls face; great style and expression. tnx for sharing the render setup :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Congrats on getting Top Row with this, well deserved. Love it! :+1:

Incredible work. I really like the animated feel this has.

Thank you all! Glad you guys like it, I had fun putting it together.

grassetti - Thanks! You are so right, man. I wanted to spend more time on the girl but ran out of time.

alterton - Thanks Alterton! I put a mask on the rim lighting layer and just painted black in the mask to hide the areas that wouldn’t get lit from the rim lighting. Mostly the stuff on the front of the characters. then, to put more focus on the faces of both characters, I airbrushed white on a new layer using a large brush and set that layer to overlay, then adjusted the opacity until it looked right. Hope that helps!

logan_45 - Thank you! yeah, that was something I wanted to spend more time on as well. Definitely looks crooked.

cherub_rock - Thanks! The bugbear is a creature from D&D and was one of the enemy characters from Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone.

dustinbrown - Thanks! Cool PS trick too, I’ll be sure and use it!

ninjatastic - Thank you! The element separation part is just filling each subtool with a different color and changing the render setting from ‘render’ to ‘flat’. Then in photoshop, you can just magic wand each color to separate the elements.

lawndart - Thanks so much! Wow, I’m surprised that worked ok. haha Glad it was helpful! The spec shader was just a modified skin shader (not sure where I got it) and the rim shader was one I modified that I downloaded from someone’s thread. (I need to sort that out so I can give credit to those who made them originally)

Did you start with zspheres for both the characters?

Beautifull work Moff, your work continues to impress me, and I especially love the face of the beast!!

Spark

Brilliant stylization of superb art.

selahpoetic - No I just used existing base meshes I built from 3DSMax.

Spark - thanks Brett, glad you like!

hosch - thanks!

The dragon is looking very dangerous. I love to beat the dragon in the games.

Fantastic work Chris! Your modeling and texturing has always been exceptional, but lately I’m really impressed with your rendering and presentation. Awesome work lately.
