Bug where I must have depth on? (Fixed!)

I think I saw reference to this in a different post but I’d like confirmation. When polypainting I can’t use an alpha or a texture or do much of anything unless I have the zadd at 1 or above…it can’t be off. Can someone confirm that this happens because it’s pretty well driving me nutso. thanks.

That’s not my experience. Which version of ZBrush are you using? Which brush are you using, and what steps are you taking to polypaint?

Which version of ZBrush are you using? 3.0? 3.1? 3.12?

sorry. details:

version 3.1, standard brush. uv’s disabled.

bring in model, edit mode, disable uv’s, fill with color, turn z off so it’s only RGB

I can paint but cannot use a brush with an alpha or paint with a texture unless I turn the depth up to 1. someone else mentioned this in the forum.

funny thing this.

if I turn Zadd off but with some number on (anything greater than 0), it works. If Zadd is turned off but the number is a 0, it doesn’t work.
