Bug - Unable to merge down layers after deleting higher subdiv

Hi,
It seems I’ve found a major bug:
If one deletes the highest subdivision level on a tool, one cannot merge down its layers any more.
It is possible to merge down new layers created after the deletion of the highest subdiv, but not the ones created beforehand.
Is this supposed to be that way, is there a workaround, or is it a bug?

Thanks,
Patrick

Layers are created at the highest subdivision level so it is not entirely without logic that if you delete the highest level some features will cease to be available.

I think you’ll need to create new layers in order to restore the functionality:

  1. Turn on a layer.
  2. Store a morph target.
  3. Turn off the layer & delete.
  4. Create a new layer.
  5. Switch the morph target.
  6. Turn off record for the new layer and delete the morph target.

Repeat for each layer.
