When I’m using certain brushes in ZBrush I get these repeated circles and unsmooth edges in certain areas. I was wondering if anyone would know what the problem might be. My LazyStep is set to 0 so that can’t be the issue. Spacing is set to .75 but is grayed out so I can’t change anything. Thanks!
All brush strokes are made up of a series of dots.
The spacing of the dots is determined in part by the Stroke >> Modifiers >> Spacing setting (not able to be changed in all stroke types) and also by the speed of your cursor movement. The faster you move the cursor, the greater the distance between dots, which in turn will result in a more jagged line.
Also, after you have drawn your stroke you can do things like Ambient Occlusion masking, which will mask the edges of the stroke. Then you can go back over the stroke with Smooth, quickly cleaning up the area without losing the crisp edge.
