Brush Snapping

Whenever I am sculpting and another subtool is nearby the brush snaps to the unselected subtool and messes up my stroke. I don’t want to hide the offending subtool because I need it for reference.

Hello @jimmylegs ,

You have a few options here.

  1. Turn on Transparency+Ghost mode. This will make your non-active subtools transparent and they will not contribute to your surface information, but you can still see them for reference.

  2. Assuming your version of ZBrush is up to date, you can now also mark a History state on your Undo History bar by Ctrl-clicking it. Future strokes will only look at the surface information marked in that History state as long as it is marked, and ignore other subtools as well as subsequent strokes.

Good luck!

Thanks. Is there a way to adjust the transparency of of the effected subtools?

Adjustments for the transparency can be found in Preferences> Draw.
