I have had this issue for a while, sometimes it just randomly fixes itself. The issue is that I like to scale my models a lot. I’ll build a big 500k dynamesh head and then use zspheres to make the body. When I build the body and make an adaptive skin the resulting mesh is very large. the polycount might only be 140k or less but a brush size of 1000 will be like as big as a brush size of 80 on a fresh dynamesh project from lightbox. I wish I could tell zbrush it should make the brush scale way bigger. Is that possible? I know zbrush is capable because sometimes it will just suddenly turn my tiny 1000 size brush into a giant one while I’m working.
Check to see if Dynamic is turned on; It’s in the Draw size panel and easy to hit by mistake. Why not just start with a ZSphere armature to make the base mesh? And in the Deformation panel is Unify, it scales the selected subtool to a more workable size for ZBrush to deal with.
You are THE man Doug! That was exactly what the issue was. What do you mean about starting with a zsphere armature? How do I pull up a zsphere armature? It’s not in lightbox that I can find
Thank you… Thank you so much
Glad I could help out. There’s a bunch of gotcha’s that have gotten me or that I’ve read about.
