Brush size [ & ] keys don't work

Hey guys,
for some reason the brush size hotkeys [ & ] don’t work…
I read in the ZBrush tips & tricks page that if they don’t work I need to remap them by going to the Misc Utilities submenu in the Zplugin palette and on the <<Brush and Brush>> I should press Ctrl+click and then the key I want to assign…
that doesn’t work ![
I tried downloading the hotkey editor plugin, there I’m able to assign those keys but that doesn’t work either…
Anyone knows how to fix this? :confused:
