Brush Settings

Hello, I have a few brush setting questions.

  1. How do I set the brush stroke to match the actual radius of the brush.
By default, the brush stroke (example when using Standard brush) is
smaller then the centre brush radius. I know there is a setting for this, just not sure where.

  2. Is there a setting to keep the brush always visible.
When I hold Shift to smooth the object, the brush disappears.

  3. How do I keep the brush the same size, no matter how close or far I am zoom into the object.

  4. How do I keep the brush always flat so it does not curve with the surface of the object.

Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers!

  1. focal shift
  2. not sure, too lazy too look.
  3. turn on dynamic on the brush size (hold shift to turn on/off)
  4. also not sure and too lazy
  1. No, I don’t think so.

  2. Turn off “Align Cursor to Surface” in the Preferences>Edit sub-palette. Store the configuration (Shift+Ctrl+i) if you want to keep it that way.

By default, the brush stroke (example when using Standard brush) is
smaller then the centre brush radius.

Not sure I understand that correctly… By default the brush stroke is the same as the size of outer ring.
Focal shift just change intensity of stroke (shifting focus) from center of the ring.
So if you set brush foc. shift to -100 you will have same full intensity on whole diameter of stroke, on 0 smooth intensity but still on whole size of outer ring.
