Brush Settings > Auto Masking > Cavity Mask doesn’t working for me… using windows version - windows 7 64 bit.
I’m experiencing the same problem.
Under brush settings/auto masking/ CavityMask/ it doesnt work what it suppose to do and doesn’t work how it worked in zbrsh 3.5r3.
Also noticed that when I play with CavityMaskCurve setting when I press reset, it doesnt reset all subsettings to 0 as it suppose to, focal shift goes to +75 instead
Please advise on this.(losing lot of time to work around this)
thx!
edit:
using win 7 64 bit version
arghh! this is one of my favorite features… what the heck happened
yep, it doesn’t work for me either
Same here, any info on this issue?
Bump
Any news on this? Last I heard it was an issue being looked into.
How is your workflow for automasking?
Thanks in advance
In Zbrush 3.5, I would simply turn on brush > Auto Masking > Cavity Mask, and it would automatically mask the cavities for me.
Seems to be broken in ZB4. I can still mask off the cavity in Tool > Masking menu, but it was nicer to have it on the brush.
can’t we have a small patch for this please
Apparently we cannot
It will be fixed together with uber buggy lightbox and some other stability related issues when they release zbrush 4.5 or something like that, but then we will lose some other handy options probably.
And for pixologic not being able or not willing to release 64 bit and more than 4gb ram friendly soft is total disappointment
Has this been resolved in the meantime? Just wondering… and being lazy on my part to dig deeper. Yeah, I’m fairly terrified, that that’s not working anymore. It’s truely one of the most efficient little wonders in there and largely responsible for some of my later leaps in general production speed, really.
Anyway, other than that I’m thrilled about the ambient occlusion masking, which I otherwise probably wouldn’t have found so quickly, hahaha.
I sure hope my post here comes too late and it’s already fixed, but I wanted to thank you guys up there for calming my worried that I might’ve gone insane, hahaha.
Agree with you Taron… This is one of the most useful features in 3.5, and the reason I can’t move on to 4 yet… which is really annoying because 4 has other features I want to use…
