Is there a good reason why brush alphas don’t work with selectively chosen XYZ transform directions? The functionality (or lack of) seems counter intuitive. I would expect to be able to extrude an elevated plateau of polys in the shape of my brush alpha, with only one transformation direction active in Transform/Modifiers. Deformation occurs in the constrained transform coordinate directions, but as though there was no alpha in the current alpha slot.
This is true for 3 and 3.5 r3 on both 32bit XP and 64bit Win7 systems.
Cheers,
R
