Hi Res Version

Hey All! This was a realtime character that I created with a combination of zbrush and max/photoshop! I am pretty new to zbrush but I have had the oppotunity to learn it at work with the help of a few friends! :+1:

I had a loose concept when I started this character - in my spare time, for a competition. I utilised zbrush to help flesh out my idea and establish the style and form of the character. I built all of the organics in zbrush and later created the mechanical parts in max.

I hope you guys like it, and I doubt i would have gotten it finished without zbrush to speed up the process!

Could you post you UV map and low poly mesh (before the normal mapping) it always helps others understand the processes behind what you have done

dude i saw this yesterday on the dominance board, and i couldn’t stop looking at it! there is only one challenger to this IMHO, and it’s on this board as well… fantastic work!!! i believe this goes right up on the top shelf. :smiley:

Jerc - I did the normal map in max. I know that zmapper doesnt support mirrored uv’s. which was essential to this charcter. Since then I have learned that it would have been possible to do it in zmapper, scalling one set of the uv’s so that it was tiny - rendering the normal map, then later deleting and mirroring the geometry - or uvs.
