Broken Symmetry in Zbrush 4r7

A problem I’ve been facing since I’ve upgraded at work is that my meshes no longer have precise symmetry.
They’ll be at world 0 in 3dsmax, but when I important it into Zbrush, painting across the X axis results in errors.

At first I thought this was because the mesh was being thrown off by other subtools, so I used Local Symmetry. But my brush strokes behaved in exactly the same way.
Even when placed the subtools in a scene by themselves, they still were considered off center.

Has anyone run into this problem, and are there any solutions?

Solved:
The problem seemed to only affect the TrimDynamic brush, so after some fiddling with the setting’s I realized that the mirror mode was off in the transform settings.

Oddly, the mirror mode being off didn’t affect my Standard brush’s symmetry, but it affected the Polish and Trim brushes symmetry.
