awesome work… if possible plz share the work flow it will be help ful…
Impressive !!!
Stunning!
I have to say, this is stunning. I’d never heard of Schlitzie. When I saw it, I thought it was Pepper from Season 2 of American Horror Story.
Superb work though.
Freaking Awesome !!! as always Rick.
Thanks for sharing the process and all
Masterful silicone likeness, monstermaker – expresses Schlitzie’s sweet personality :). Thanks for sharing your video glimpse of your sculpting process. Beautiful paint/hair work by Arjen. Very inspiring piece!
I figured many of you would think this was Pepper since the character and make up was based on the real Schlitzie who was a circus freak and star,as far as I am concerned, of the 1932 film FREAKS.
It’s a must see film in my opinion, even though it was banned in many countries because of it’s supposed exploitation of handicapped people.
Schlitzie was one of three pinheads ,microcephalics, in the film .Schlitzie was the one with the most personality and my favorite. you can’t help but fall in love with him BTW he was a him even though they dressed him as a woman in the film and in the circus.
Anyways thanks for looking and the nice comments.
Yeh, I found that out about Schlitzie when I went searching. Fascinating stuff.
That is just utterly amazing… Such a fine work.
And Freaks is a wonderful film.
wow I really love the skin details and how the teeth came out! wonderful!
this is amazing ! happy to see more works from you ! I saw it on your youtube channel, outstanding !
It has ben a while since I have ZBrushed as I have been busy with my collaboration with MAC Cosmetics. One of the things that kept me buys was making costumes and makeups for myself and family for the big costume party that MAC threw at my studio.
This was how I looked . It is my version of a steam punk frankenstein. Sorry to clutter up the forum with non ZBrush stuff but I think some of you would get a kick out of seeing this. BTW these photos were taken by my friend Steve Koch.
Happy Halloween
Rick
Brilliant!
You ARE the best, Rick! (and you have the Oscars to back that up! LOL)
Cool!
I like the pharaonic touch.
