Anyone else out there saddened the smooth brush was replaced
by a hot key? I’ve refined a workflow that’s much more intuitive,
much like painting, where I don’t use hotkeys… it helps me
concentrate on the sculpt, rather than the tools… every other
sculpt package has a smooth brush as a button. Hopefully,
Pixologic will bring back at least one Smooth button.
Is there a work around that can create a smooth brush button?
You could just go to preferences, custom UI, enable customize, and then drag the smooth brush button into your interface for easier access. Afterwards, you could save your new UI separately as a file, or just overwrite the default file by pressing ctrl +shift I. I hope this helps and good luck with your projects.

Ok here you go again: prference/Custom UI/click on Enable Customize
Next: Go to top menu Brushes, find the smooth brush. ctrl+click and drag the smooth brush icon to where you would like it.
After that you go to: preferences/Config and click on Store config
That’s it ZB will start up with your changed UI
And btw you can do that with nearly every item from the menus

It does move, just take it from the top menu, not from left hand side. Or in other words, don’t try to move the brush icons from the floating window, you have to take it from the regular dropdown menu.
thanks, yes it does load into the custom ui, but it still won’t work
as a brush, just a hotkey…
