cool last one brett.

Hey there long time no visit to your thread, thought you got rid of me? lol j/k. Anyway still very impressed with your work. Just when it seems your work can’t get any better you prove that it can. I am very impressed with Wolverine his body looks so real. Wonderful paint job. I, too, like the doodle it’s not lame at all. I don’t know if you would have time but there is a Halloween challenge going on and would love to see you try. I believe you can enter any pic even if it was done awhile ago. Take care and keep up the amazing work.
Thanks for the comments guys. Here’s another sketch for the night. Working out the form with the rake brush. Hope you like it. Original base mesh in maya. Just reusing an old mesh.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Brett
P.s…Its not hulk. I promise

Very promising! Very good Dude!
Very cool model and surface feel!
The pose suggest that he has some problem with the frontalis muscles, because normally I think that you cannot contract only one side
Hey Brett!! Howzit going man? Your portfolio is looking amazing bud! Read your Zbrush interview as well, very inspiring stuff dude. I have a few questions regarding your military game character. How heavy was your chest armour in order for you to pick up all that texture detail? Do you typically look at 1 million polys evenly distributed for a 1K texture map? I actually lose alot of texture detail because my machine slows down at 2mill. Whats the highest number of polys you have worked on without slow down?
thanks bud!
Thanks for the comments guys. No updates. Sorry. I try to only reply when I have an update so it doesn’t seem like a meaningless post:P. But that looks like it’ll be awhile.
undoz: Ye his not too well this guy:). Its inspired by Alex Ross’ Bizzaro. He did an amazing sketch of him in the back of the justice comic. I hope to do more on him than just a sketch. haha.
Mahen: Sorry took so long man. The chest armour came in around 1964 poly’s. After dividing it came in at 8036352:p. I generally stop at level 7. I have a quad with 8 gig ram running a 64bit os. Alternatively you can create texture maps in zbrush and paint on them through projection master. Which is really handy because if you have that imageplane plugin from mahlikus you just import a texture onto your model and warp it to fit there. I’m exicited cause I just tried it the other day. Still loads to learn haha. Good luck!
Update:P.
Just fiddling with hair and lights and so on…
Lots to do still.
