BrandonSP begins his ZBrush adventure

I’m pretty much a newbie to ZBrush, since I started using it for a (still going) Digital Sculpting class this January. Thus far, it’s been a lot more fun to play with compared to my earlier experiences with Blender or Maya.

Below is a class assignment in which we had to create an insect-like character using ZSpheres. I elected for an Egyptian Scorpion Queen, inspired by Dwayne Johnson’s character in The Mummy Returns.

This on the other hand is an Egyptian Pharaoh character I’m doodling for fun. It’s still a work in progress, hence the unfinished accessories and the cruddy anatomy of the whole figure.

it’s a good start. but I think first of all you need to focus on the anatomy(and of course the most important part is that you keep practicing).anyway keep it up & keep’em coming.goodluck.;)

And now for something completely different…a Triceratops I created to brush up on my ZBrushing.

Good to see you working on stuff!
There are a couple of threads here that go into heavy detail about the processes these artist use to create detailed dinosaurs, very much worth checking out for any artist level. Check out Daniel’s Lion Arts thread.

Good piece! The more you make the better you will get. Check out some other examples of dinosaur /animal artist in ZBC too while you make future pieces; they can aid in inspiration.
