BPR Transparency Refraction: BROKEN

Does anyone out there use the Refraction setting under BPR Transparency? As far as I can tell this has been broken since 4R2. It is a function that I would use all the time, but I am forced to move my hi-res models into Modo to reproduce an image using refraction. This function did work before 4R2 because I used it then.

Please let me know if there is a magic switch that I need to use to get this to work properly.

It’s pretty much like you said. It hasn’t been working for a few versions now. There have been some threads over the last few months asking about it, but they’ve yet to lead anywhere : /

I ve spoken with zbrush support on april this year, and they told me following things:

“I’ve been told by the development team that the changes made to BPR are the cause of this feature no longer working. It’s not going to be a quick fix – we’re going to have to completely reprogram the refraction feature in order to make it compatible with the new renderer.”

cant they make a sticky somewhere, and remove the ****ing refraction buttons if they dont do ****, wtf.
