I can’t seen to find anyone who has an answer for this. IMO, BPR shadows are broken! I get the feeling that major updates are being pushed out too quickly and “features” are being added haphazardly. I would much prefer more frequent maintenance patches & bug fixes.
If anyone has a solution for this shadow bug, I would REALLY love to hear from you. I am getting tired of dismissing these problems with the usual “ugh, it’s another ZBrush thing.”
Also, these forums are a friggin’ NIGHTMARE to navigate! The documentation on the WIKI is incomplete! Argh!!! (sorry for the rant, I’ve spent a lot of hours today sparing with ZBrush.)
Hello,
I have similar problem here ! (shadow artefact and resolution too low)
No shadow on nostril, that seam like if resolution of shadow
still too low ( 8096 !!) . the problem ( shadow artefact) is resolved with ldeph at -1 but shadow resolution still too low.
perhaps a track here : unify your model !!
See left, after unify : problem seem ok !!
My problem at the moment is I can’t unify all the subtools ( fibermesh ) because that scale the subtools at different values and the position change too mush …
If someone can help .
PS :
if you make a low resolution the problem reapair …
I ve try with transpose master and unify all subtool but dont work with fiber mesh and strange result with mesh ( extra deformation …)

One precision :
When I do a unify the mesh downscale, if don’t unify and rescale myself the shadow bug still …
Unify look like resetxform on 3dsmax , no just rescale . I can unify without scale the subtools ?
Ahhhhh!!!
4R3 seems to have fixed my problem with BPR and shadows. Nicely done!
