BPR Filters not functioning

Greetings all,

Long time ZBrusher here trying to catch up to latest version. I’ve been spending alot of time with ZBrush after taking a renewed interest in one of my more costly investments in graphics besides Adobe. I’ve spent alot of time watching the ZClassroom tutorials. The latest one has been on the BPR filters. After trying numerous things the BPR filters seem to be not taking any affect on my images. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar problems. I also wanted to say hi to aurick:)

They work fine for me.

Which version of ZBrush are you using?

Could you show a screenshot of your entire interface, with the BPR Filters sub-palette open?

What are the steps you’re following?

Is that even a BPR render? I don’t see any shadows cast inside the bun.

I did get the BPR Filters to function, although the problem seemed to be that the models I was making didn’t have a lot of detail, as in creases and cavities.
But a new problem has cropped up. I began following the fibermest tree tutorial. As I went back and reviewed the steps to making the tree I noticed the flare control option was not present in the fibermesh palette, so I wondering if that is some sort of bug. I just recently managed to get a grip on subtools recently.
But I have looked in fibermesh palette and for the life of me cannot find any flare controls. I’m attaching a screenshot this time showing the fibermesh palette.

Unfortunately your screen shot blocked the title bar, which has some of the info I need to be able to help.

Read page 45 of the ‘ZBrush4_R3_whats_new.pdf’ that comes with your installation of zbrush4R3. Flare settings are redundant now you can use curves to adjust the width profile. The tutorial you were watching was presumably for a pre R3 zbrush version

I apologize for the sloppy screenshot. I was up late last night Zbrushing. Anyway here’s a new screenshot displaying the information you need to see. As I was saying the flare controls are not showing up in the fibermesh palette.
