Booleans. Why?

I’ve finally have conquered booleans in ZB after much confusion, anguish, annoyance and hair pulling.

Now it’s fun. BUT? I have to ask why? Is there anything Booleans can do that can’t be done with painting profile masks on a plane that one can extract and tnen size deform and make an adaptive skin? Or similarly made in shadow box?

Yaay Marcus! I can see I wasn’t using my brain…of course, those “in-y” shapes. Thanks for the perfect example. (Now I’m back playing with this, :stuck_out_tongue: because I don’t have a gazillion other things to do higher up on my gotta get done list!)

Boolean practice Inspired by a recent posting on a ZB Central of a highly ornamented Celtic Cross (I apologize for not remembering either the artist’s name or the person who posted the image with his/her query)
