boolean subtraction with dynamesh

I have a problem. I post a cylinder, inner radius 80. Then insert cylinder with z sub. I take off the mask, I dynamesh on the cylinder and I am the combined figure instead of a hole. I have tried in various ways, but the problem persists. Only special if I zsub active before inserting the cylinder, my cylinder does not have the visible faces. In both cases however (both that applies zsub before or after) the Boolean subtraction is not done.

Make sure that the mesh you are using as your subtract brush/mesh has fewer polys than your main tool. Otherwise you can get undesired results like you are having.

IN case this is not what you are describing, you need to press and hold the alt key while drawing the insert mesh on. Also, to see it properly, set visibility to ‘double’
