Bobby Sparks Sketchbook

Hello,

I’ve been using the project below as a way to learn how to use ZBrush’s incredible sculpting and painting tools to create a high poly mesh then export a low poly mesh along with displacement maps to 3DS Max Designs in order to get the highest quality render possible (for me anyway). Hope you like it. Suggestions welcomed.

Thank you,

Bobby Sparks

Greek Warrior Bust

Original sculpt done in ZBrush

Final polypainting of bust

Low Poly ZBrush scupt imported in 3DS Max Designs where I added facial hair using curves I exported from ZBrush Fibermesh

3DS Max Designs render using VRay

Another VRay Render but with armor added

Create high-quality rendering. This model is a wonderful display of fundamentals, pose, and texture. Thanks for showing this top row art.

Thank you Diablo! I enjoy the whole process but especially sculpting details and painting realistic texture maps:D

Very nice work bro , i like how you made the rustic pieces and overall is really good work

Looking great man. My only crit is that the helmet seem just a tad to thin. But overall quality work.

Keep it up :+1:

I felt the same way about the helmet thickness. Not sure why I talked myself out of fixing it:confused:

Thanks for the props!

Thank you very much Omnivorak! Man there is so much to learn when you first start doing this kind of work. My goal is to choose projects that require me to learn new techniques. The more you know…

Again, thanks for you kind words.

The level of detail is just awesome. I like the eyes; the clear rounded cornea and flat iris beneath make them look so alive.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you, ZMelvin. I wasn’t sure you could even tell that that was how I did the eyes. Thanks for letting me know it wasn’t time wasted!

Thank you for commenting Anoopxds. I don’t know what you’ve said, though, and Google Translate wasn’t any help. :o
