There is no transparency used in this image , I used a light cap and a home made shader…

I know why:
In the FUTURE people prefer to be killed by nice looking things, they realize that things in an olive drab are just plain unpleasant to look at.
Its like when Meathead was bitching about gun control, the lack thereof and people getting killed all the time with guns and Archie Bunker asked him “Would you prefer they was pushed outta windows?”.
To me and the people of the FUTURE the question then would be “what KIND of window” is it some dingy basement thing all covered in crud? then no obviously, but if its some gigantic stained glass window that is impossible to replace, well hell! Gimmy a push!
Now we have smart bombs, they only kill bad people and they think about it first, but in the FUTURE we will have polite helpful bombs, ones that can hold a conversation, help you figure out things like how your death certificate should be filled out and filed and so on. And they will look very nice, Raytheon and those of their filth, oops I mean ilk, will need to hire consultants to advise them in the latest thing in everything from rivets to gas mixtures that produce nice colored flames that don’t clash.
The FUTURE is gonna be glorious Blue, and you are right on the cutting edge.

I like the thought behind the Orca whale piece…Would be interesting to see it turned into some sort of transparent hollowed out shell type of structure, but keeping with the form of the whale at the same time…maybe even with the colors and effect captured in that grenade piece…I like the idea of organic using this technique that you are exploring…Lots of new possibilities there…
Anyway,…Keep going…Really enjoying these experiments that you and Mealea, and a few others are toying with…Great stuff…small_orange_diamond:)

I actually made the part first and then named it could have been an androids power plant or a pineapple…

Enjoying this last piece posted by you Deke…Came out Great…small_orange_diamond:)…I’ve yet to try out the transparent feature within ZBRUSH…Seeing what you’ve done by using it, makes me want to take a crack at it…All in good time…I suppose.
